How to apply

You will need to complete both a Virginia state application [Word document] and a program application [PDF] for America Reads.

Applications are available throughout the year at the Division of Community Engagement, Marshall Street Annex, 1103 W. Marshall St.

Applications also can be mailed upon request.

Recruitment occurs throughout the year as needed, with peak hiring times in September and January. You are encouraged to apply early to ensure a suitable placement. A copy of your financial aid work-study award letter must accompany all completed applications.
