This workshop focuses on theory and hands-on activities for high school & community college instructors with experience teaching Genetics and Molecular Biology.  Course goal is to help experienced teachers enhance their proficiency level and to identify & develop new ideas, resources and exercises to meet their teaching goals in Genetics, Molecular Biology and Biotechnology.  Emphasis on enhancing knowledge and proficiency in the areas of recombinant DNA, electrophoresis, polymerase chain reaction, Southern blot hybridization, DNA sequence analysis, Western blot hybridization, Elisa, Bioinformatics, and more.

What will you take home?

There will be an emphasis on enhancing knowledge and abilities in the areas of recombinant DNA, DNA purification and electrophoresis, polymerase chain reaction, DNA sequence analysis, evolution, protein purification and electrophoresis, Western blot hydridization, Elisa, and more.
