Meet the instructors

Helen Butler

Helen Butler is the training director with Prevent Child Abuse Virginia. She also has been an educator in communications for more than 20 years. Her focus on cultural competency began by exposing students in schools, colleges and universities to their literary cultural heritage and later expanded to developing workshops. Her workshop participants have varied in age and interests, from inner-city high school students to college-bound senior citizens.
