The Gay Community Center Building is located at 1407 Sherwood Avenue between the back of the Diamond by the parking lot (Hermitage Road) and the Children's Hospital (Brook Rd). We are the Rainbow Striped building next to the interstate; the building is on Sherwood between Sherwood and Cummings. The parking lot for the thrift store is at the corner of Cummings and Durham. The parking lot for the Event Hall is next to the interstate behind the building and spans the area between Sherwood Avenue and Cummings Avenue. Classes will be held in the meeting rooms of the Gay Community Center of Richmond. These meeting rooms are located off the entrance at 1407 Sherwood Ave. Parking is available in the parking lot between the building and I-95 or on Sherwood opposite the building. (Please do not park in the Diversity Thrift parking lot which is located at Cummings and Durham or on Sherwood beside the building as this is reserved for Dviersity Thrift Donations drop-offs.) The entrance for the community meeting rooms is near the corner of Sherwood and Durham in the Brick addition coming out from the building. Directions from The VCU/Fan area:

From Broad Street: Turn onto N. Meadow St where it becomes Hermitage Road beside the Sauers Spice Company. Coming from VCU, you will turn right; coming from the wsest, you will turn left. Cross Leigh Street and the railroad tracks. The SPCA will be on your right, the next light after you pass the SPCA is Sherwood. Turn right on Sherwood and we are about 3 blocks down on the right.

From the North:

Take 95S towards Richmond. Take exit 78 (Boulevard). At the end of the exit, take a right onto Boulevard. At the first light, take a left onto Robin Hood Road. At the first light, take a right onto Hermitage Road. At the first light, take a left onto Sherwood Avenue, and we are about 3 blocks down on your right.

From Powhite Parkway:

Take 195 N and follow directions to 95 S/ 64E. Then follow the directions above for "From the North."

From the South:

Take 95 N towards downtown Richmond. Take exit 78 (Boulevard). At the end of the exit, take a left, you will be on Hermitage Road. Go through the light at Robin Hood Road. The next light is Sherwood Avenue. Take a left onto Sherwood Avenue. We are about 3 blocks down on the right.
